The Albany Symphony is delighted to feature the Parnas Sisters, two of our regions most exciting emerging artists, as soloists on this concert. Violinist Madalyn and cellist Cicely are both currently students at the College of Saint Rose in Albany. They live in Stephentown, N.Y. on the New York side of the Berkshire mountains. They are the granddaughters of the legendary cellist, Leslie Parnas. These radiant young ladies will perform two works with the orchestra on this concert, a little-known masterpiece by Saint Saens, "Muse and Poet," and a lovely duo-concerto by Vivaldi. Also on the program, Beethovens witty and whimsical Symphony No. 8 and Schoenbergs early, extremely romantic masterpiece for strings, "Transfigured Night" ("Verklarte Nacht"

Our 2009 exhibit features nearly 40 items of clothing from our costume collection. This unique exhibit weaves the history of the clothing, the people who owned it, and Saratoga Springs together to tell a fascinating story of the growth of Saratoga Springs as a community.
12 Miles of trails throughout the park! This is a great activity for the entire family to enjoy on a beautiful winter day. The Saratoga Springs Visitor Center offers a free park trail map. Snow shoe rentals vary depending on size and are available at the Park Office.

Enjoy 7 miles of the Battlefield Trails to use for hiking, snowshoeing, sledding, cross-country skiing, ect. The Battlefield Tour Road and grounds are open to the public for everyday use during daylight hours. Trail maps are available at the Visitor Center. 664-9821.

Snow tubing at West Mountain - 6 tubing chutes to choose from! (4 700 ft. chutes, 2 1000 ft. chutes) No need for any special equipment or experience, just bring yourself and have a fun time! The Snow Tubing Park is on the left side of the mountain face and has two lifts running to the top of the chutes. Hours are: Friday 3-9, Saturday 10-8, Sunday 10-6, Monday 3-9.
