ParkFest 2018, the Town of Wilton’s Annual Community Day, will take on a bicentennial flair in celebration of Wilton’s’ 200th Birthday. The event takes place on Saturday, July 7th, from 11 a.m. – 9 p.m., at Gavin Park in the Town of Wilton. Bicentennial ParkFest sponsors include Adirondack Trust Company, Scotty’s – Exit 16, The Parillo & Nigro Family, DA Collins Construction Company, Inc., Richbell Capital, Bonded Concrete Inc., Kodiak Construction, MJ Engineering, Saratoga National Bank, and Stone Bridge Iron & Steel, Inc., among others.

This year’s event will feature a Bicentennial Park including an encampment, reenactments, old time photos, period characters, crafters, games, and musical entertainment “through the years” on the Bicentennial Stage with performances by Fyfes and Drumms of Olde Saratoga, Skip Parson’s Dixieland Band, Bluz House Rockers and Latitude 43.

On the Main Stage, come enjoy Beatlemania Now, the ultimate celebration of the Beatles music! Beatlemania Now is an amazing concert experience as seen on Broadway and around the world. Also at ParkFest, enjoy the only two-time gold metal champion of magic, George Saterial, and the hilarious juggling comedy act by Bryson Lang!

ParkFest attractions include rides, food, and fun on the midway. Plus, some lucky attendees will go home with a share of the $2,500 in awards and prizes being given out for various contests and competitions including 1K & 5K Fun Runs, Ice Cream Eating Contest, Custom & Classic Car Show, Sidewalk Chalk-Drawing Contest and Cookie Decorating Contest!

Stewart’s Shops will be giving out free samples of their limited-time Bicentennial ice cream flavor, Karner Blueberry. Other events and entertainment at ParkFest will include: a petting zoo, racing pigs, a craft and vendor fair, and woodcarving feats of Joshua Kerr. Additional child-centered activities will be a rock climbing wall, caricature drawings, face painting, pony rides, and Operation Safe Child. Plus, the Saratoga County Animal Shelter will be there along with the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society with adorable pets looking for new forever homes.
