Horse Racing 101 For Saratoga Springs NY

There are two horse racing tracks in Saratoga, NYRA's Race Course and the Saratoga Casino and Raceway.  This site is dedicated to answering your questions and helping you with your vacation planning.

Information on Saratoga's NYRA Race Course:

• General Admission is $3, Clubhouse admission is $5 - Children
  12 & under are FREE when accompanied by an adult.
  

• Gates open weekdays at 11 am and weekends at 10:30 am
  (Except Travers Day which opens at 7 am)
  

• TRAVERS DAY is Saturday August 25, 2012! Post time is 11:35 a.m. For Travers Festival Events, Click HERE!
  

• This year, there will be a 40 Day Racing Season, spanning over 46 days (Closed Tuesdays). First post-time is 1pm (most days).

• Nothing beats breakfast at the Saratoga Race Course! Listen to the experts as they tell you about the morning workouts. Breakfast is served every race day on the Clubhouse porch from 7 to 9:30 a.m. Admission is free during breakfast, except on Travers Day.
